Bright Shining Stars Coming October 16th on Vizztone Records!
Earlier this year, I went to Dave Westner's studio and recorded 11 songs - covers of old blues and other songs I've been playing live over the years, plus a couple of originals and one tune by my husband, Tom Bianchi called Bright Shining Stars. In 20 years of recording, most of my album titles have had pessimistic connotations - "Nothing Romantic" "Box of Troubles" "All My Heroes Are Ghosts." In a time period where our collective title should be an exclamation point inside a triangle, I thought now is the time to go positive. So, "Bright Shining Stars" it is. It's essentially a solo acoustic folk/blues album with special guest appearances by Laurence Scudder, Peter Parcek and Richard "Rosy" Rosenblatt.
